Knockout Roses are one of the most common flowers in all gardens due to them needing very little maintenance but still having a long bloom time. They come in many colors, including pink, red, coral, yellow, and white. As you know, I have many of these spread out across my garden, 12 in total, and I have pink, yellow, and coral. The only care they need is a little deadheading here and there to allow it to keep blooming, but after the first year, you can pretty much just leave them alone.Â
Zinnias are annual plants that thrive in complete full sun environments that come in multiple colors, including red, orange, white, pink, yellow, and coral. I have grown them for many years and they are the best plants for people who aren't big gardeners. Just plant them in the spring, and they will take off quick. Like knockout roses, the only care they need is a little deadheading here and there, and they will thrive.
Daylilies are perennial plants that come in many different varieties of beautiful and bright colors which are also one of the most common plants found in gardens, because it is super low-maintenance. If you are going for a low-work garden, you should definitely have daylilies. All you have to do is plant them, and they will shoot up. They bloom from the start of summer to mid-fall, but their peak bloom time is June and July. The only time you need to water is right after you planted, every few days, but in the years after, they only need little amounts of water, and rain should cover it.
Russian Sage is a pretty perennial plant that is known to attract all pollinators, including bees and butterflies, and produces tall, purple blooms with a woody stem and woody base. They need to be watered every week for the first year, and maybe once every month after that, unless it starts looking crippled or burnt. They bloom starting mid spring and bloom until the first frost. I have three of these plants, and have had them for many years, and they have needed almost no maintenance since we have had them.
